Tree of Life Synagogue Shooter Sentenced to the Death Penalty

The gunman who killed 11 worshippers at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018 was unanimously sentenced to death by a federal jury on Wednesday.

It’s the first federal death penalty imposed under the Biden administration. Jurors spent just over 10 hours deliberating over the past two days.

Robert Bowers, 50, was found guilty in June of all 63 charges against him for the deadliest-ever attack on Jewish people in the US at The Tree of Life Synagogue in October of 2018.
