In related news, The Supreme Court has blocked the Purdue Pharma opioid settlement. The bankruptcy settlement was going to give the Sackler family future protection against opioid-related civil claims. However, it also was creating a 6 billion dollar fund for victim compensation, opioid crisis abatement for communities across the country, and overdose rescue medicines. The Fund now on hold would’ve been a lifeline to millions of people who have been devastated by the Pharmaceutical Companies’ creation.

The morally bankrupt family pushed the distribution of their knowingly addictive pain pills to millions of people around the globe. Which helped create the current opioid epidemic.
