Trump’s Dangerous Rhetoric Could Kill More Innocent People

Donald Trump’s rabid MAGA base has been busy releasing the details of the Fulton County, Georgia Grand Jury Members. Throughout Right Wing websites 4 Chan, Gab, X(formerly Twitter) among others. Names, pictures, addresses, and social media profiles have been posted on these sites. Some of them aren’t even members of the Grand Jury, They are random people who happen to share the same name as a juror.

In Georgia, only grand jury members’ names must be listed on the indictment. Some have falsely claimed that D.A. Fani Willis forgot to redact the names on the public indictment.

“In fact, the Georgia Supreme Court has consistently held that an indictment without the names of grand jurors is considered “defective,”” said Elizabeth Taxel, an assistant clinical professor of law at the University of Georgia, to the Associated Press.

For MAGA supporters to dox innocent citizens whose only intent was to serve their civic duty. Is not only vile but extremely dangerous. Along with the release of information, has been calls for violence. Not only towards actual jurors but the random people who they happen to share names with.

Now, instead of renouncing calls of violence toward private citizens. If something is to happen, to anyone involved in his four criminal cases. A horrifying precedent would be set. Leading potential jurors in any criminal trial against Trump. To reasonable fear for their safety. This is one more way, in which Trump has eroded the foundation of our democracy.
