In this most recent incident. Fox News, America’s leading source for fake news. Falsely reported that the Gold Star family for Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee. Was forced to pay $60,000 to retrieve their daughter’s remains. They lied about the incident saying the Pentagon had refused to ship the fallen soldier from Afghanistan. Which was completely made up by Fox, to slander the Biden Administration.
Even after Fox was aware of their fabrication. They refused to run a retraction of the story. Fox also declined to apologize to the Gee family until nearly a month after the incident. It took awareness from an article in Military.com to put public pressure on the Network.
It shows that nothing has changed over at Fox News. Even after a devastating lawsuit from Dominion Voting Machines, cost Fox nearly 788 Million Dollars. For their habitual lies around the 2020 Presidential Election. Their false claims of voter fraud and promoting Donald Trump’s lies. Got the Fake News Leader in legal peril. Still facing upcoming lawsuits over their election coverage. You would assume that their fact checkers would be on high alert. After they were nonexistent in the years following the 2020 election. This is yet another example of their inability to inform their viewers of actual true events.
The Network is now, more than ever closer to right-wing propaganda. Then it is to a credible news source. They often push false Republican narratives and talking points. While consistently using fear tactics that have viewers vilifying their political opponents. Some have even taken to violence toward democratic officials. Whom the network considers “dangerous” to democracy. When it’s their tactics that pose the real threat to America’s democracy.
Even a US District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil said about Fox News and its number one anchor at the time. The network “persuasively argues” that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”
“This ‘general tenor’ of the show should then inform a viewer that he is not ‘stating actual facts’ about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in ‘exaggeration’ and ‘non-literal commentary,'” the ruling said.
So Fox, their lawyers, and a Judge are all in agreement. That the network can’t be trusted to supply facts. Their stories shouldn’t be taken seriously. They exaggerate what they report. Maybe it’s time to remove the “News” from their title. If they aren’t willing to do so. Maybe they should be forced to add “fake” to the title. “Fox Fake News “ does have a good ring to it. Either way, it is time for viewers to wake up. Between Trump, the Republicans, and Fox you people are being conned by everyone you hold in high regard. It may be time to look yourself in the mirror. Because you are the ones that look incompetent for continually falling for liars.
