Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday where he was asked to respond to comments made by Donald Trump. Trump made the boastful remarks during a town hall interview hosted by CNN’s Kaitlin Collins.
Trump bragged “If I’m president, I will have that war settled in one day, 24 hours,” Trump told CNN. “I’ll meet with Putin. I’ll meet with Zelensky. They both have weaknesses and they both have strengths. And within 24 hours that war will be settled.”
President Zelenskyy responded to Trump’s claims saying “If he can come here, I will need 24 minutes – yes, 24 minutes… to explain (to) President Trump that he can’t manage this war. He can’t bring peace because of Putin,” Zelensky said.
Zelenskyy then went into President Biden’s visit, honored by the meeting he said Biden was enlightened by his experience.“I think he understood some details which you can understand only being here. So I invite President Trump.”
After Zelenskyy’s invitation to Trump. He was asked if he had talked with Trump since he had left office to which he said “No…No..No..No”
Can you Imagine Trump visiting a war-torn country? Personally, I’d love to see it. You know he would travel around Ukraine in something similar to the Pope mobile with rocket-proof glass looking like a MAGA snow globe. The juxtaposition of Trump the ultimate all bark no bite wannabe tough guy. With the ballsy Zelenskyy who is the definition of “it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog”. Walking patiently next to the Trump mobile in a sleeveless hoodie as if he’s parade security for the bubble boy float.
Of course, Trump would probably bring some inconsiderate present like when he gave paper towels on his visit to hurricane-riddled Puerto Rico. Most likely a set of Trump Russian nesting dolls that he had regifted from Putin.
As for Trump’s ability to end the war in 24 hours, he probably could make that a reality. Just not in any way that would benefit the good people of Ukraine. I mean Trump’s first impeachment came to light because of his phone call to Zelenskyy where he tried to bribe him with military aid in exchange for dirt on President Biden and his family. I’m sure he would have no problem giving Putin all the best-classified documents that he has buried along with his ex-wife. The juicy stuff that has all the Ukraine secrets that Putin needs to win this war. Then finally Trump could have his tiny hands on the infamous Hooker pee Tapes that Putin has used as leverage to make Trump his errand boy.
So yeah President Zelenskyy you might want to rethink your decision to invite Donald Trump. Just as your response to if you had talked to him since he left office. If he takes you up on your public offer your response should be “No…No..No…No!”
