(CNN)-“Republican Rep. Tim Burchett accused Kevin McCarthy of elbowing him in the back while he was talking to a reporter after the House GOP conference meeting.”
Kevin McCarthy is once again up to his dirty tricks. This time it appears he gave a kidney shot to fellow Republican Tim Burchett. Who, just so happens to be one of the Republicans who voted to oust McCarthy from his dream job as Speaker of the House.
McCarthy has been nothing but a petulant crybaby since he lost his position last month. Reports of McCarthy undermining and sabotaging other nominees’ bids for his former job have been rampant. McCarthy’s narcissism has been on full display since he left the Speakership. Blaming Democrats and other Republicans for his self-inflicted removal. Now allegations that McCarthy has cheap-shotted a vocal detractor of his should come as no surprise.
McCarthy acts as though he’s the popular high school athlete who has been stripped of his captaincy and now he plans to stuff anyone that he feels slighted him into a locker in the hallway. Except this isn’t High School it’s the United States Congress and the wannabe tough guy McCarthy has a security detail to defend him when those he bullied come back to settle the score.
He is just lashing out because the new kid on the block Mike Johnson is about to use Democrats to help pass the spending bill to avoid a government shutdown. McCarthy can’t accept that he was stripped of his gavel for the exact same reason. His obsession with the Speakership is unhealthy at best. It is so clearly obvious that the man refused to take down the Speaker of the House sign that was hanging above his office. He feels that Mike Johnson, who himself is no well-adjusted adult either, shouldn’t get any recognition doing what McCarthy considers to be his job. As I said yesterday, the House of Representatives has become a reality show and no longer works as the governing body that it once was. So stay tuned because with the Republican Party running this 💩 show it may not be effective at getting the job done but it is always a must-watch.
