Republican Congressman George Santos who was the focus of a House of Representatives ethics report may face expulsion for his alleged behavior in and around his 2020 campaign. According to NPR “The new report by the House Ethics Committee says a congressional probe found evidence of “alleged violations” by Santos that go beyond crimes detailed in the Justice Department’s indictments. The committee referred their report to the department.”
Investigators say cash contributed to Santos’s election effort wound up being spent on personal expenses, including botox treatment, purchases at Hermes and Sephora, and “purchases at OnlyFans.”
“[D]espite his attempts to blame others for much of the misconduct, Representative Santos was a knowing and active participant in the wrongdoing,” the report states. “Particularly troubling was Representative Santos’ lack of candor during the investigation itself.””
Santos, whose claim to fame is that he is the 2nd biggest liar in the Republican Party. Completely fabricated nearly every detail of his life to relate to potential voters. From volleyball players to election deniers no one was safe from Santos’ habitual attack on the truth. With a vote to expel Rep. Santos looming, the disgraced Republican may be forced to seek new employment.
Luckily for Santos, word is a Brooklyn cobbler Guiseppe “Joey Boots” Geppeto is looking to fill an internship that Santos just so happens to meet the requirements for. Hopefully, his fellow House Republicans will have the courage to vote Santos out of his elected position. The Party has spent the last three years spreading misinformation so Santos may be seen as an asset they can’t live without.
Even if George Santos with help from his Right Wing colleagues can keep his job in Congress by receiving enough votes to stay. He vows he will not run for reelection next year. However, this is George Santos we are talking about, his word is just as believable as North Korean election results. So Either way, I just hope and pray for George’s sake that he doesn’t miss out on the cobbler gig with Mr. Geppeto. It’s the one job that he is truly qualified to do. Unless of course, Donald Trump hasn’t decided on a candidate for his Vice President position. Imagine the amount of media coverage they would receive having the two disinformation GOATs on the same ticket. Fox, OAN, and other conservative outlets would base their entire daily programming on covering the Brady and Jordan of false narratives. Sadly, Rupert Murdoch would have to un-retire just so he could afford his new underwear and sheets budget.
