Michigan Republican Party And Its Leadership Is An “Incompetent Dumpster Fire”!!!

(CNN) — “A CNN review of documents and interviews with more than 20 current and former party officials in Michigan shows the Republican Party in this key battleground state has become entangled in financial turmoil, infighting and calls for new leadership less than a year before the 2024 presidential election.

Kristina Karamo – a former community college professor with limited political experience – became the head of the state party in February after pushing far-right election conspiracy theories and promising to end the party’s reliance on traditional wealthy donors.

Now, some of the pro-Trump party members who voted Karamo into office have soured on her leadership and accuse her administration of working to destroy the party by failing to fundraise and sparking division among the party rank-and-file.

Kristina Karamo Michigan’s MAGA Republican Pary Leader

Dozens of the party’s state committee members signed a petition calling for a meeting at the end of the month to consider the removal of Karamo and some of her deputies.

“If I would have known that Kristina Karamo would have turned out to be such a tyrannical incompetent dumpster fire I would never have worked so hard to get her elected. For that I apologize,” wrote Dawn Beattie, a state committee member, in an email sent last month to fellow Republicans and obtained by CNN.

The dire state of the party’s finances, which has generated negative headlines in local outlets including The Detroit News for months, was recently summarized in a report that concluded Karamo had pushed the organization to “the brink of bankruptcy.” The report, commissioned by Warren Carpenter, a former party district chair, and shared with CNN, included internal records that suggest the party had a net income of just $71,000 between March and November and had more than $600,000 in debt as of last month.”

With the continuous flow of anti-Biden polls and stories surfacing out of the presidential swing states. We get this breath of fresh air coming out of Michigan. Where it appears the state Republican Party and its leadership are being called a “tyrannical incompetent dumpster fire” and that’s from fellow Republicans.

I must admit, that as happy as I am to hear what a 💩 show the Michigan GOP has devolved into, I am quite jealous that I wasn’t the one who thought up such a fitting description. From all accounts, it sounds as though the current state of the Michigan Republican Party has been a self-inflicted embarrassment. Choosing a party leader whose highlight on her resume is being a community college professor with the same amount of political experience as Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski. Should’ve thrown up more red flags than the Kremlin had circa 1980.

Yet it seems as the Party nationwide has done, they decided to put all their eggs into the basket of a MAGA mouthpiece. Who bases her political agenda around the knowledge she gained from a four-hour YouTube wormhole of conspiracy theories. Alienating wealthy donors in favor of a more grassroots approach may sound stupid in theory. But it’s actually much worse in practice when you don’t build a large coalition of volunteers to execute your campaign. So not only do you not have enough small donations to fund campaigns, but without those mega-donors, you can’t afford to pay the WiFi bill for your headquarters.

It’s the cost of doing business with these MAGA morons, just because they are the most obnoxious person in the room, doesn’t make them competent leaders. This isn’t just an issue in Michigan either, they are using Trump as a prototype for what makes someone a modern Republican around the country. Of course, your Party’s portfolio isn’t trending as it once did if those you put in power, emulate a man who nearly bankrupted the richest country the world has ever seen. The only legitimate way Trump has ever made money was by pretending to be a businessman on reality television. So please Republicans continue electing these unqualified people to represent your party. We Democrats would love nothing more than putting our best and brightest up against the “tyrannical incompetent dumpster fire” candidates that Republicans admire.
