(CNN) — “The FBI on Saturday arrested three people in Florida who were charged in connection with the US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, and were considered fugitives after fleeing from law enforcement.
Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III were taken into custody early Saturday morning, according to a press release from the FBI. They are scheduled to appear in federal court in Ocala, Florida, on Monday.
Olivia Pollock was set to go to trial on federal charges related to the Capitol riot last March, but did not show up to court in Washington, DC. Her brother, Jonathan Pollock, has evaded authorities since he was first charged in July 2021. The FBI had offered thousands of dollars for information on his whereabouts.
Prosecutors have accused Jonathan Pollock of punching two officers in the face, kneeing a police officer, dragging an officer down stairs, charging at law enforcement with a flag pole, grabbing an officer’s neck and pinning them to the ground and ramming a police shield into an officer’s neck.
Hutchinson, Olivia Pollock and Jonathan Pollock are facing several charges for what prosecutors allege was a coordinated assault on several police officers. Hutchinson and Olivia Pollock have pleaded not guilty. Jonathan Pollock has not entered a formal plea.”
January 6th has been a meaningful day for as long as I can remember. You see my brother-in-law and his daughter, my niece, were both born on this early January day. Then the events on this day three years ago happened, casting an infamous shadow over the mere mention of the date. So much so that I have written about January 6th hundreds of times throughout this blog and this is the first time I have mentioned the birthdays of my loved ones. Happy Birthday!!
As is December 7th, 1941 and September 11th, 2001, January 6th, 2021 will forever be a bloody stain on our great nation’s history and will always remain a day of infamy. What separates January 6th from the other dates etched into the American story, is that the country came away from that day more separated than the day before. In most instances where the United States has come under attack, we the people have rallied around the flag and were stronger for our focus on our shared enemy.
When that enemy turns out to be domestic not foreign, fellow Americans, attempting to destroy the fabric of our democracy and overthrow the government. To impede the peaceful transfer of power. All done over a lie from one man who refused to take no for an answer from the United States electorate. Besides the brainwashed insurrectionists who did the dirty work for their sadistic leader, the so-called conservative media and his corrupted government enablers are the ones who made such a treasonous action possible.
To date, none of the top Right-Wing traders have faced any criminal convictions for what took place that day three years ago. Only the political pawns that were coerced by those Party leaders have been prosecuted and now are serving sentences for their crimes. So we still have many more architects who must face justice for their involvement. Along with some of the other domestic terrorists who participated on the Capital grounds. So as we always remember the damage done by thousands, let’s honor the victims and those who sacrificed their bodies to protect this great nation. To the three fugitives who were captured by the FBI after avoiding their punishment for so long, I say Happy January 6th Assholes may you rot in prison! We the People will not rest peacefully until the entire cast of characters involved has been brought to justice. God Bless America!!
