(Chicago Defender)–“GOP Rep. Nancy Mace called out Hunter Biden for his “white privilege” on Wednesday (Jan. 10) but ended up getting a lesson of her own, per HuffPost.
Mace was critical of Hunter, the son of President Joe Biden, after he appeared at a GOP-led House Oversight Committee hearing in which they passed a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress.
“My first question is who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today? That’s my first question. Second question, you are the epitome of white privilege,” Mace said. “Coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a congressional subpoena to be deposed. What are you afraid of? You have no balls to come up here.”
Rep. Jasmine Crockett slammed Mace’s comments on white privilege, calling them a “spit in the face” to her as a Black woman.”
The other day, Nancy Mace, serial hypocrite and Republican Congresswoman. (Pardon the redundancy) Had a bizarre outburst directed at Hunter Biden when he made a surprise appearance at his own contempt of Congress hearing. Mace called Hunter’s unannounced visit “White Privilege”, as I mentioned when it happened. The audacity of Mace to call anyone besides herself “White Privilege” when the sole reason for her seat in Congress, is due to Republicans gerrymandering her district. Disenfranchising minority voters to land your dream job sounds like the definition of “White Privilege” to me.
Well, apparently I wasn’t the only person to call her out. In fact, in comparison to what Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett said about Mace’s comments, I now feel like I should’ve gone much harder on the South Carolina Republican. Crockett gave a masterclass on dealing with GOP hypocrisy that should be studied by young Democrats across America. Her dressing down of Mace and her Right Wing colleagues was the perfect combination of facts, intelligence, integrity, wit, and wisdom. Not since Dikembe Mutombo have I witnessed someone get their weak 💩 stuffed right back in their face. The only thing Crockett failed to do was wiggle her index finger at Mace while saying “No..No..No Not In My House!!”
It’s so refreshing to see Congresspeople like Jasmine Crockett, along with her fellow Democrats: Jaime Raskin, Dan Goldman, and Jared Moskowitz refusing to be pushed around and lied to by Republicans across the aisle. You see besides being extremely intelligent these House Democrats realize they have the moral high ground too. They will not be bullied by their political rivals peddling divisive disinformation and hateful rhetoric. Especially when Republicans rarely have the truth on their side.
I just wish the Democratic Party had more members like Jasmine Crockett. If there were I can promise you that more MAGA Republicans would think twice before spreading their hypocritical propaganda in public hearings. Knowing that Crockett and company are waiting to verbally pounce on their disingenuous claims. Nancy Mace had to find out the hard way, but I guarantee she won’t ever make that same mistake again. A good whopping like that changes a person. That’s one House Republican down, now we have 219 to go!
