According To Nikki Haley The United States Has “Never Been A Racist Country”!!!

(CNN) — “Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley claimed the US has “never been a racist country” during an interview with Fox News on Tuesday.

Haley’s remarks were in response to MSNBC host Joy Reid’s comments on whether Haley could win the GOP nomination as a woman of color. Haley suggested Reid “lives in a different America than I do,” pointing to her own rise from the daughter of immigrants to governor of South Carolina and ambassador to the United Nations.

Haley previously faced criticism for failing to mention slavery when initially asked by a voter about the cause of the Civil War during a town hall last month. Following mounting backlash, Haley said “of course” slavery was the cause of the Civil War, adding she assumed it was a “given.””

Nikki Haley has once again put her high heels in her mouth. This is her second ignorant comment on the issue of racism in the United States past. The first was when she swung and missed, at a softball question, about what caused the Civil War. Now she claims America “has never been a racist country”. When the truth is systemic racism has plagued the U.S. since its inception and is still rampant in her own political party.

Haley, just last night, publicly declared that she would not be debating Ron Desantis anymore, suggesting it would be a waste of her time. Instead, she said Donald Trump and President Biden are the only candidates for president she would take on in a political debate. Maybe she should reconsider that stance because she can’t even make it through a puff-piece interview without disrespecting the plight of disenfranchised minorities throughout this nation’s history.

So maybe a few more rounds of verbal slap fights with Desantis might be just the practice Haley needs before taking on Trump and Biden at the podium. The more time she spends in comparison to Desantis, the better chance she’ll have to appear to be the lesser of two oblivious racists.

Even the smell from the cleaning products was still present from Haley’s last racial whitewashing of the Civil War. So you’d expect a wound that fresh would be a reminder that she should handle all racial discussions with the care and sensitivity that they require. But then again, she is a Republican, so she’s just lucky that she hasn’t mistakenly uttered the “N” word on television. At least not in public anyway. However, at the rate she’s going she’ll probably be claiming that word isn’t racist either on her next Fox News appearance.
