(Newsweek)—“Hosts on Russian state-run television recently hyped up the news that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was spotted visiting Moscow.
Carlson was the host of Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson Tonight from 2016 to 2023, which eventually grew to become the conservative network’s biggest primetime news program while also garnering heated criticism for the host’s alleged promotion of conspiracy theories and white supremacist rhetoric. Last April, however, Carlson was abruptly fired by the network with no official explanation ever being given.
On Thursday, Russian news outlet Mash reported that Carlson had been spotted recently at various places around Moscow, including a visit to the Bolshoi Theater. While Carlson himself has yet to comment on the visit or confirm the reason for the visit, many have speculated that he might be there to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin for his current series, which he shares directly to X, the platform previously known as Twitter. Carlson has, in the past, frequently shared stances that were complimentary or supportive of Putin and Russia, especially amid its invasion of Ukraine, with some opponents accusing him of echoing Russian government propaganda.”
So White Nationalist Icon and Right Wing Propagandist Tucker Carlson has been seen hobnobbing around Moscow recently. Rumors of a possible interview with his top political man crush Vladimir Putin have been circulating since he arrived in the Russian Capital. Most international journalists are treated as enemies of the state by the Putin regime. However, Carlson, a Putin spokesman to American audiences, has been granted a reception fit for the hierarchy of Russian Oligarchs.
Most media outlets have been understandably critical of a Carlson interview of the Authoritarian Leader Putin. Saying all it would accomplish would be to further amplify Republicans’ anti-democratic, pro-Russian agenda. That predictably started during the 2016 Presidential Campaign of Donald Trump. When Trump’s trusted advisor Paul Manafort, a former Russian operative sent by Putin to undermine the Ukrainian government. Was elevated to Trump’s campaign manager and brought with him a Russian-backed plan to destroy any sentiment of Ukrainian support in the Republican Party.
A storyline that Tucker Carlson has camouflaged for years through his previous employer Fox News. Although I agree that an interview with Putin will continue to erode America’s commitment to Ukraine and democracy. I would be extremely concerned if an interview was not Carlson’s main objective for this visit. It’s one thing to have a public record of his meetings with Putin via an interview. It’s far more sinister if Carlson is there for some nefarious purposes like acting as an errand boy for Donald Trump.
Trump learned the hard way during his first term, that colluding with Russia can be easily traced back to his inner circle. Although he never had to face prosecution for his relationship with the Russians. The investigation got way too close to uncovering the true details behind the Trump organization’s fascination with making Putin an ally. So given a mulligan, Trump has to execute any future dealings with the Russians with extreme caution. What better way to accomplish that, than by sending a “faux” journalist like Carlson. Who is all in on, the White Nationalist movement that ties all these political figures together.
That’s the alleged behavior that should illicit fear amongst U.S. citizens and officials alike. When all roads of the MAGA agenda lead to Putin. It makes you question if political influencers like Trump and Tucker Carlson are simply puppets for the true head of the White Supremacy global takeover, Vladimir Putin.
As a firm believer in Occam’s Razor, a theory that when you have competing explanations, it’s the simplest one that is likely correct. Why else would the Republican Party throw out its longstanding position against Russia? When a lifelong corrupted businessman with ties to Putin, Donald Trump. Just so happens to take over the Republican party. With the help of, guess who, Tucker Carlson along with election interference from the Russians. Trump’s first order of business at the Republican National Convention, was to change the Party’s stance on supplying Ukraine with weapons. Used to defend itself from any further Russian invasion. What’s a more plausible scenario? This has been Putin’s plan since day one? Or, has it all just been a combination of random coincidences? If you believe the latter then the former is working to perfection. Just in time for you to catch Tucker Carlson’s one-on-one with the true architect of today’s Republican agenda, Vladimir Putin.
