(The Daily Beast)–“Adamant Trump defender and potential vice presidential candidate Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said Thursday that if she were in former Vice President Mike Pence’s shoes on Jan. 6, 2021, she “would not have done” what he did.
“I don’t think that was the right approach,” Stefanik told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on The Source, referring to how Pence refused to bend to pressure from Trump and his allies to reject or delay the certification of Electoral College votes.
Stefanik claimed there was “unconstitutional overreach in states like Pennsylvania,” even though several dozen of Trumpworld’s election-related lawsuits across the country were thrown out. His lone initial win—in Pennsylvania—shortened the time frame for voters to “cure” their ballots, but that ruling was subsequently overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
It was the first time Stefanik has said she would have complied with the former president’s request to throw out the 2020 presidential election—a question that has quickly emerged as a litmus test for any of Trump’s potential running mates.
Stefanik is widely seen as one of the leading contenders for Trump’s vice presidential pick, buoyed by her remarkably consistent support for him despite his many legal and public relations woes in recent months.”

The former moderate Republican from New York has quickly morphed into the hyper-partisan MAGA mouthpiece you see before you. This delusional GOPer may have just set the land speed record for the most right-wing lies and misinformation spoken in one 10-minute interview. An accomplishment not easily achieved in this era of Trump brand political propaganda.
Props to Kaitlin Collins, for her ability to semi steer this verbal greased-up pig into a cage of reality and facts. Although Stefanik fought like hell to remove the shackles of truth at every opportunity. Collins made a point of cleaning up her fabrications when Stefanik’s hypocritical word salad was relentlessly flying out of her mouth.
What’s most disturbing about Stefanik’s appearance is that she will most certainly forward that clip to her cult leader Trump. As part of a highlight reel displaying the lengths she’ll go, just to compete for the privilege of serving him daily McDonald’s as his Vice President. She definitely left the CNN studio on a misplaced high as if she had just nailed a MAGA audition.
Trump has compiled such a collection of crazies to surround himself with in a second term. Insulating him from common sense and morality. So if something not so tragic were to befall a future President Trump. You would still have a kook in the co-pilot’s seat willing to fly the country into the side of a mountain just as Trump plans to.
You know just how awful a second Trump Presidency is going to be when you find yourself longing for the days of Mike Pence. When a bible-thumping, women’s rights removing, Republican hypocrite is the lesser of two evils. In this plausible post-2024 election dystopian hellfire scenario. It’s nightmare fuel that nobody wants or needs.
It makes you wonder if Stefanik or the other Trump suck ups vying for his Vice Presidency. Even remember how Pence was nearly sent to the gallows on January 6th by the same crowd that they are kowtowing to. Trump has never been known to maintain loyalty to those who have backed and or served him. Yet here we are less than a year from the election and nearly half the country is willing to sacrifice our great democracy for a man who has no intentions of repaying their support. All because some people think President Biden is too old to compete with a criminal sexual predator. Who, has tried to overthrow the government and shared its nuclear secrets with foreign adversaries. Just because he’s two years younger than Biden. It’s absolutely mind-bottling!!
