(The Independent)–“Far-right activist and prominent “Pizzagate” influencer Jack Posobiechailed the “end of democracy” at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where prominent Republicans and GOP officials trotted out January 6 conspiracy theories and downplayed the attack on the US Capitol to overturn 2020’s election results.
“Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely,” Posobiec said during a panel moderated by former Donald Trump aide Steve Bannon on Thursday.
“We didn’t get all the way there on January 6, but we will endeavor to get rid of it and replace it with this, right here,” he added.
Posobiec is among guests at this year’s four-day CPAC event in Washington DC, where Mr Trump, right-wing media personalities, members of Congress, state officials and the former president’s allies and surrogates are reviving familiar grievances and outlining attacks against political rivals heading into 2024 elections”.
Welcome to CPAC the convention equivalent of a Qanan circle-jerk, with a lineup that can only be described as the wet-dream team of White Nationalists everywhere. It mainly consists of people who fall to the extreme right of the OAN network politically. A collection of racists and homophobic incels looking for further guidance on how to be the person least likely invited back, by family, for Thanksgiving dinner. A hypocrisy-filled event littered with anti-scientific discussions fueled by hate-based religious ideologies. It tends to be a real who’s who of the morally corrupted antisemitic MAGA underbelly.
Even the Chairman of this infectious group is a self-considered ultra-Christian, happily married, “family” man. Who spends his “me time” as a sexual predator, assaulting unsuspecting men on multiple different occasions. Of course, he publicly bashes the gay lifestyle, which staunchly contradicts the accounts of his many male victims.
Although it should delight everyday Americans that this year’s CPAC has only had a fraction of the support it has received in years past. It is, however, a four-day fiasco, that will culminate with an appearance from the newly crowned two-time “Worst President Ever” recipient Donald Trump. So no matter what the actual turnout is for his speech, it will be considered the most attended conference ever by Trump’s own calculations.
Trump will be expected to turn up the MAGA rhetoric if he plans to follow white supremacy influencer Jack Posobiec’s speech. When you set the bar at “overthrowing democracy completely” you leave little room for Trump to slither under it. So strap in folks, no matter what side of the aisle you stand on politically. Your social media feed will certainly be in for a major influx of fallout from Trump’s CPAC appearance.
If you’re left of bat 💩 crazy expect the oversized pile of Cheeto dust, Trump. To offend and repulse your ideas of democratic values and American patriotism. While, those of you, currently lost and confused with MAGA mania syndrome. Will undoubtedly say to yourself proudly “Wow Trump, nailed it again!” Delusional, yes, but when your standards have been set so incredibly low it doesn’t take much to impress a legion of idiots.
