(Meidas Touch Network)–“Trump racism was on full display during a speech at the Black Conservative Federation Gala. Speaking at the Black Conservative Federation Gala on Friday night, Donald Trump insisted that “a lot of people” have said that “the Black people” like him because of his 91 felony charges. Trump compared being held responsible for his alleged criminal acts to the Black experience, claiming that Black voters view Trump as being a victim of “discrimination.”
Trump’s racist commentary didn’t end there. At one point, Trump insisted that he knows Black people well because they built his buildings. “A Black worker is a great worker,” he said. Trump and his father were the subject of 1973 federal lawsuit for their refusal to rent apartments to African-Americans.
In one strange, rambling moment, Donald Trump said the lights were so bright that he couldn’t see any people “except the Black ones.” “That’s how far I’ve come. That’s a long way isn’t it?” he said.
In another moment, Donald Trump brought up the late Hollywood film star, Cary Grant, mentioning that he was “very handsome.” He then looked at the crowd and changed course. “I’m gonna put it more in this…” he said, as he switched his story to revolve around Sidney Poitier, telling the crowd Poitier didn’t look very good in a bathing suit when he was old.
Trump then compared himself to former President Barack Obama, asking the crowd, “Would you rather have the Black president or the white president? I think they want the white guy,” while claiming to have negotiated a better deal than Obama in a deal with Boeing.”

Wow, all Donald Trump’s speech, to an audience of Black Conservatives, was missing. To consider it a true masterclass on how racists perceive speaking to a crowd of black men and women should go. Was Trump saying “Come out here Tim Scott…. I want you all to meet my black friend Tim. His performance was so incredibly offensive it would’ve made his staunch supporter and former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke seem relatable in comparison.
I guarantee Trump left that cringe-inducing debacle with a delusional sense of accomplishment. That’s the thing about racists, they spend so much energy proving to critics they are skilled at relating with people of different races and ethnicities. That they end up saying some inconsiderate prejudicial bull 💩. Instead of just being themselves they pretend to understand the struggles of others. By comparing their experiences to those of stereotypes certain communities face. It’s a clear telltale sign when a person doesn’t see you for who you are, but for what they perceive you to be. It’s almost ironic how stereotypical, prejudiced people like Trump can be in their racism.
I may joke about Tim Scott being Trump’s one black friend. But his co-signing of Trump’s behavior on the campaign trail is doing a huge disservice to the black community. Especially when it’s for such a self-serving reason as becoming Vice President. Allowing Trump to parade him around the country and continually spread misinformation about Trump’s record with minorities is quite disturbing.

Acting as if Trump saved Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). When the truth is Trump refused to allocate the funds that all his predecessors had done before him. Forcing Congress to write legislation ensuring the HBCU’s funding was met. Trump ultimately signed the legislation to avoid further criticism. Yet Trump claims he saved the HBCUs from the brink of collapse when he was the one who put their financial standing in jeopardy in the first place.
Trump is full of lies from his time in office regarding his impact on minority groups. You often hear him talk about how black unemployment was never better than while he was President. Wrong!! Actually, President Biden has that distinction along with a laundry list of other achievements that Trump tries to claim as his own. Sadly Tim Scott has not only failed to correct the false narrative Trump boasts often about. Scott can be seen daily on multiple news outlets echoing these fabrications. To the dismay of those who previously thought he may be one of the last remaining honest Republicans left.
Donald Trump has been and always will be a racist POS. No matter how many pairs of sneakers he sells or Black Conservatives he cons into believing otherwise, will never change that fact. To steal a quote from Kanye West, who before he lost his damn mind and became an antisemitic Trump supporter. He once understood how Republicans truly thought about the black community. “George Bush Donald Trump…doesn’t care about black people!” No amount of whitewashing from Tim Scott will ever erase that truth.
