(CNN)—“Don Lemon said Wednesday that his partnership with Elon Musk went down in flames, hours after the former CNN anchor conducted an interview last week with the erratic billionaire for the debut episode of his new independent web-based show.
Elon publicly encouraged me to join X with a new show, saying I would have his ‘full support,’” Lemon said in a statement, adding that he took Musk at his word that he was “interested in working directly with diverse voices.”
Lemon said the sit-down he conducted with Musk for the first episode of “The Don Lemon Show,” which will be released Monday on social media platforms including X and YouTube, was “respectful and wide ranging” and that “there were no restrictions on the interview that he willingly agreed to.”
“His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me,” Lemon added.”
Self-proclaimed free speech activist and 2nd richest man in the world Elon Musk. Has proven himself once again to be nothing more than another hypocritical right-wing wannabe tough guy. His knee-jerk reaction to cancel his business dealings with Don Lemon. Solely due to Lemon’s attempts to ask the Billionaire Antisemite difficult questions in an interview scheduled for release on his social media platform.
It’s not the first time and certainly won’t be the last. For a so-called “freedom fighter” on the far right side of the political divide. To completely abandon their core values at the first sign of resistance. In this case, simply because Lemon’s difficult questioning would be afforded publicity on Musk’s sacred turf. Musk has long advocated against bullying, his claims of being picked on as a kid are the foundation behind this belief. Yet Musk has turned into the biggest bully of them all on X. The social media site he purchased so he could cosplay being God in a cyber playground of his own design.
Allowing the rules his team has imposed to be routinely violated by right-wing hate groups and antisemitists. Claiming “Free Speech” as a cover for his complicit inaction. However, it just so happens that the type of hate speech and racial disinformation that he ignores on his site is the same rhetoric he promotes himself. So it should come as no surprise when Musk does use his unlimited power at X. It’s to cancel Don Lemon for challenging his behavior via simple questioning.
Thin skin is a telltale sign that far-right influencers can, give it all day long, but taking it is an acquired taste that their fragile palates find too spicy. Like Christian Nationalists believe, that their religious rights permit them to be bigoted against the LGBTQ+ community. While simultaneously condemning any legal freedoms granted to protect said groups’ equality. It boils down to “As long as you agree with me you’re entitled to do whatever you please.” But if your opinion is in any way a contradiction then you and your arguments should be at the very least invalidated. Potentially illegal if they obtain a majority of legislative authority.
Musk is just the latest example of the entitlement, scared little right-wing extremists like him, are fueled by. As long as they are the ones giving out the noogies then all is right in the world. But God forbid the tables are turned on them and they find themselves on the receiving end of anything remotely offensive in their view. Musk and the rest of his ilk are the first ones to cry foul and hide under the kitchen table holding on to mother’s legs for dear life. Quite an embarrassing and shameful way to live when you pretend to act like a tough guy online. But maybe I should digress, before my opinions upset the wrong fragile egos of some MAGATS, you never know what might cause them to cry foul and attempt to exact revenge.
