(Newsweek)–“Prominent Donald Trump supporter Mike Lindell has almost no chance of having the Supreme Court review his voting machine challenge, legal experts have said. Lindell wants the Supreme Court to rule that the use of electronic voting systems is unconstitutional.
The MyPillow CEO is teaming up for the case with Arizona Republican Kari Lake, who has said her 2022 defeat in the state’s gubernatorial election was marred by fraud. Lake’s allegations have already been repeatedly rejected in court. This week, Lindell’s team issued a filing to the Supreme Court seeking to revive a 2022 lawsuit by Lake to the use of electronic voting systems that was dismissed by judges as “frivolous” at the time.
Greg Germain, a law professor at Syracuse University in New York, said Lindell’s challenge seems like a publicity stunt as it is unclear if he is starting a new case or trying to revive Lake’s. “If the former, is it timely? The court’s original jurisdiction is limited to disputes between states and involving foreign ambassadors, and is not based on certiorari (a writ or order by which a higher court reviews a case tried in a lower court). The Supreme Court is not an investigative body. It is not the place to present newly discovered evidence,” he said. “So this looks like a publicity stunt rather than a genuine request for a Supreme Court review,” he added.”

It appears Kari Lake and Mike “My Pillow Guy” Lindell have taken their delusional rigged election lies on the road. The first stop on their tour, being, the Supreme Court of the United States. Where they hope to find a receptive audience for their absurd claims that voting machines are unconstitutional and should be removed from all polling locations.
Although the highest court in the land is littered with cuckoo conservatives, looking to turn the once-respected Judicial Branch into a politicized kangaroo court. Even this particular case seems too nonsensical and legally flawed for this suspect court to give credibility. Still, nothing is impossible with this group of Justices, as women throughout the Country, have learned the hard way.

Just imagine the utter chaos that future elections would face if voting machines were ultimately made illegal. As if right-wing politicians and their media allies haven’t already done enough damage to the voting process. With fabricated propaganda of election fraud sowing doubt about election integrity among Republican voters. Their goal is to make voting more difficult and undermine confidence in our democratic institutions. Simply due to their unpopular Republican agenda shrinking the size of the base. It’s another way for them to disenfranchise Democrats instead of growing their party. This case is merely an extension of that underlying plan.
It’s no surprise that Lake and Lindell are at the center of this litigation. If Trump is considered the Elvis “King” of false election fraud rhetoric then Lake and Lindell would be the Lennon and McCarthy. However unlike the Beetles, Lake and Lindell have only written and continued to sing their lone tune, entitled “Rigged Election”. This duo has tied their entire political identity to being anti-democratic sore losers. So no matter what the actual outcome of this Supreme Court’s decision regarding their case. You can count on Lake and Lindell to cry foul over some made-up allegation of Judicial corruption. Because that’s what one-hit wonders always do.
