(Yahoo News)—“The family of Michigan murder victim Ruby Garcia said they were shocked Tuesday while watching Donald Trump announce that he had spoken with them because, as they claim, it never happened.
While discussing immigration at a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Trump mentioned Garcia’s death last month. Brandon Ortiz-Vite, who police said has been in the U.S. illegally, has been charged with her murder.
“Ruby’s loved ones and community are left grieving for his incredible young woman. Remembering what they called her, they said she had the most contagious laughter, and when she walked into a room, she lit up that room,” Trump said. “And I’ve heard that from so many people. I spoke to some of her family.”
Not so, Garcia’s sister, Mavi Garcia, told local NBC affiliate Target 8.
“He did not speak with any of us, so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us, and misinforming people on live TV,” said Garcia, who Target 8 described as the family spokesperson. Garcia also told Fox17that Trump didn’t speak to any of her relatives.”

If Trump exploiting victims and their families for political gain wasn’t disgusting enough. Trump now appears to be lying to his MAGA moronic base. Falsely claiming to have personally contacted a murder victim’s family. Solely to curry favor with and rile up his rabid followers against immigrants.
This certainly isn’t the first example of his exploitation of migrant crime victims. Intended to create a widespread false narrative regarding the dangers of immigrants. In fact, it’s become the main theme throughout all of his recent rallies. When pertinent data shows that immigrants since the 1960s are 60% less likely to be incarcerated than American-born citizens. Even a CATO Institute study, which is a libertarian think tank, reported since 2019 undocumented immigrants were 37% less likely to be convicted of crimes.
The New York Times and The Marshall Project teamed up for an investigation from 2007-2016. That concluded there is no correlation between undocumented immigrants and a rise in violent or property crimes in the communities they live in. So Trump’s dangerous rhetoric is based only upon his racist beliefs, not any actual data.

Trump’s language surrounding immigration uses the same hateful racial tropes as Adolf Hitler’s description of the Jewish people. Trump now refers to the crisis at the border as “Biden’s Border Bloodbath”. The same border security topic that Trump himself has forced Republicans to not address. By rejecting a bipartisan legislation that would solve the problems he constantly references. Trump’s self-serving political strategy is far more important to him. Than allowing immigration reform to pass and implementing increased border security. As with most issues, Trump’s border hypocrisy is off the charts.
Trump’s willingness to lie, cheat, and steal remain the only consistency in his political campaign’s agenda. No matter how potentially harmful his actions are to the stability of democracy. Trump will continually spread falsehoods for his political benefit. The truth, victims of his deception and the health and well-being of American society will forever remain under attack by Trump’s propaganda. As long as he is the foundation of the Republican Party. At what point will the world finally recognize and reject his deceitful conduct? November’s election is a crucial step toward that goal, so vote accordingly to ensure victory for Biden and Trump’s political demise.
