Trump’s Latest Con, Going From MAGA To Moderate!!!

(The New York Times)–“Former President Donald J. Trump said in a video posted to his social media site on Thursday that he was “not running to terminate” the Affordable Care Act, his latest effort to push back on attacks from the Biden campaign and other Democrats over his calls to replace the legislation known as Obamacare.

In a statement similar to one he posted in March, Mr. Trump said the health care law was “much too expensive” and “not very good,” and added, without providing specifics, that he would improve it if re-elected. Those statements came after he drew criticism for having again suggested, in the last few months, that he would repeal the law, which has become more popular since its enactment 14 years ago.

Also this week, Mr. Trump shifted his stance on abortion. For months, he gave mixed signals on his position, before saying in a statement on Monday that abortion policies should be left to the states.

The former president’s pledge to repeal the health care legislation dates to his first presidential campaign in 2016, when many Republicans were issuing calls to “repeal and replace” the law. But Mr. Trump did not offer a substantive proposal to replace it, and efforts backed by his administration to repeal parts of the law were rejected by Congress and the Supreme Court.”

(CEO)—You can tell the general election is right around the corner. Just by listening to Donald Trump switch from the extreme political views. He’s been busy promoting, to win over his MAGA base, during the primary season. To an entirely contrary stance intended to court moderates and independents, as the general election quickly approaches. Changing his opinions on policy more often than he changes his own adult diapers. Proof that the only thing Trump truly cares about is returning to power.

Earlier this week on the abortion issue, Trump suddenly announced a total reversal of his previous position on the topic. He spent most of his campaign claiming to support a 16-week Federal ban on abortion. Completely swapping that policy in favor of leaving it up to the states. Then less than 24 hours later when Arizona’s Supreme Court ruled that an outdated law banning abortion would now supersede the current one. Trump said he was vehemently opposed to the state’s decision, abandoning his day-old statement. To appear more moderate because he’s keenly aware the Republican platform is wildly unpopular.

If that was disingenuous enough, Trump also changed his mind regarding “The Affordable Care Act” AKA “Obamacare”. Trump spent nearly all of his time in office actively lobbying to repeal the public healthcare option. Multiple attempts were thwarted mostly because Trump never once offered up a comparable replacement. Yet up until his latest remarks, Trump has vowed to cut the popular program for millions of hard-working Americans. However, realizing that decision would be election kryptonite. He suddenly does a 180 on the issue, now claiming he only wants to improve upon it.

You see when Republicans are the ones being conned into supporting Trump’s Presidential candidacy. His policy initiatives are strictly based on far-right arguments. Now having fooled enough of the GOP electorate to win the Republican nomination. Trump has focused his attention on more moderate and independent causes. Which takes a whole different approach if he plans to lure those voters under the MAGA umbrella.

Everything Trump says and does is thoroughly calculated. Whether it’s transforming his political ideology to match whatever group he’s targeting. Selling products like Trump’s Founding Fathers Bible or gaudy sneakers to entice Christian Nationalists and Young Black Males respectively. It doesn’t matter what the grift, Trump, is always in Conman mode. So either you are way too intelligent to succumb to Trump’s propaganda endeavors. Or, too ignorant to realize you’re just another mark. Trump has successfully brainwashed into his collection of MAGA rubes. Either way, now, you’ve been officially warned.
