(Politico)–“Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has found a new way to press for badly needed cash.
In a letter received by Republican digital vendors this week, the Trump campaign is asking for down-ballot candidates who use his name, image and likeness in fundraising appeals to give at least 5 percent of the proceeds to the campaign.
“Beginning tomorrow, we ask that all candidates and committees who choose to use President Trump’s name, image, and likeness split a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC. This includes but is not limited to sending to the house file, prospecting vendors, and advertising,” Trump co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita wrote in the letter, which is dated April 15.
They add: “Any split that is higher than 5% will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.””
(CEO)— When will the Republican Party learn that they are the ones being victimized by Donald Trump and his wannabe gangster tactics? While they still proudly fall in line, being duped into whatever the latest swindle is, orchestrated by the Conman in Chief. There is no greater gathering of rubes out there, than the MAGA GOP and their misinformed base.
Trump has not only taken over control of the RNC but is treating it like his own personal slush fund. Funneling millions of dollars worth of donations intended to support the entire Republican ticket across the country. Into Trump’s criminal defense fund and replenishing his dwindling campaign coffers. As if blowing through all the money set aside for other GOP candidates wasn’t enough. Trump has decided to charge his fellow Republicans at least a 5% vig to associate themselves with him.
Trump has strong-armed his way into total command of the Republican Party. Implementing a mafia-style organizational structure which operates like a pyramid scheme. With kickbacks from his underlings moving up the chain. Trump’s family members are installed as buffers to insulate himself from potential legal liability. Still, Republicans are either too ignorant to comprehend Trump’s end game or comply simply because they prefer his unethical behavior. Believing Trump is worth appeasing despite his considerable moral flaws, as long as his ideology coincides.
Yet, in reality, Trump’s only allegiance is to himself, not the right-wing agenda. Trump doesn’t care one bit for any particular political issue. Money and power are his sole priorities. Trump presumes his clearest path toward attaining those goals. Is by hitching his wagon to the gullibility and lack of morality rampant in the MAGA Republican establishment.
Trump’s mark has always been the party itself. Look at all his former GOP associates left behind, drowning in Trump’s legal wake. He is shrewd enough to realize he will never obtain what he yearns for through his political rivals or staunch detractors. But Republicans, on the other hand, are the grift that keeps on giving. Political pawns, coerced to pay 5% of their campaign’s intake, to watch Donald Trump ultimately demolish the Republican Party from within. While we Democrats, will be patiently waiting for the perfect moment to declare “I told you so!!”
