(CNN) — “Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who previously said that Donald Trump shouldn’t be near the Oval Office, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Friday that he would vote for the former president over President Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
Collins pressed Barr – who has been highly critical of his former boss – “Just to be clear, you’re voting for someone who you believe tried to subvert the peaceful transfer of power, that can’t even achieve his own policies, that lied about the election even after his attorney general told him that the election wasn’t stolen. … You’re going to vote for someone who is facing 88 criminal counts?”
Barr began, “Look, the 88 criminal counts, a lot of those are-”
“Even if 10 of them are accurate?” Collins interjected.
“The answer to the question is yes,” Barr countered. “I’m supporting the Republican ticket.””
(CEO)—William “Bill” Barr former Attorney General under the Trump Administration. Has been a key witness, testifying against Donald Trump, for the January 6th House Committee. But, prior to, the January 6th Insurrection taking place. Bill Barr was knowingly complicit in the Weaponization of the Justice Department, on Trump’s behalf. It was only after Barr refused to take part in the scheme to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election. When he finally fell out of favor with Trump and his election interference cohorts. Barr viewed the actions of Trump, around the election, as illegal and wanted to distance himself from any likely conspiracy charges.
Since then Barr has been rather outspoken about Trump’s criminality and overall failures during his time in office. It’s as if Barr is looking to change the historical narrative. By acting so vehemently opposed to Trump’s conduct as President. Hoping his own place in history is not also tarnished by his previous support of his former boss. Barr seemingly wants all the credit for his tenure as AG. While distancing himself from all the negativity surrounding the Trump Administration. Typical Republican political hypocrisy at its finest.
However, now that credible allegations of corruption have emerged about Barr, during his time as AG. From the public testimony of former Trump/Giuliani point man, Lev Parnas. It’s as if Barr has done another 180 on Trump and has now come full circle. Back to endorsing Trump for President in November’s general election. The same man Barr spent the last few years publicly condemning. What’s changed recently, that would cause such an about-face, you might ask? Lev Parnas is finally garnering the proper attention from Democratic Congresspeople, which his riveting account of the details deserves.
Included in Parnas’s wealth of knowledge is that President Biden’s Impeachment Hearings are total nonsense. The justification is, that Parnas was the one, Trump tasked with going to Ukraine and Russia. Specifically to investigate any alleged wrongdoing by the Biden family. For Trump to capitalize on as political leverage toward the 2020 election. What Parnas ultimately discovered was that there was zero evidence President Biden or any of his family, ever committed illegal acts in Ukraine. What he eventually uncovered was the abuse of power and corruption orchestrated by the Trump Administration. In particular Trump, Giuliani, and Bill Barr were the primary players at the forefront of this entire scandal. Cutting all ties with Parnas, silencing and scapegoating him to prison for their unlawful activities.
While Parnas does have the receipts to back up his claims. You’d anticipate the current DOJ opening up an investigation into the matter. This includes Barr’s level of involvement, leaving him criminally exposed if prosecution is warranted. That only depends if the Department of Justice hasn’t already started an inquiry into Barr’s conduct. If not, then a second Biden term certainly will. Yet that could all easily go away if Donald Trump were re-elected. Then there’s no reason for Trump’s new Attorney General to put resources behind a Trump investigation. Immediately releasing Barr from further federal investigatory scrutiny. So for all those baffled journalists confused as to why Barr would ever vote for Trump, after all his criticisms. Utilize your journalistic instincts because the answer is already out in the open. Just because it might not fit your modified mainstream narrative of Bill Barr “the Trump critic”. In the real world, two contrasting opinions can simultaneously exist. For instance “Donald Trump would make a terrible President if elected, but it might just save my ass from going to prison.”-Bill Barr (Parody!!!)
