(Meidas Touch Network)—“Three Republican states, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas have filed lawsuits against the Biden Administration over new Title IX rules protecting LGBTQ students from discrimination on campus that were rolled out this month and will take effect in August.
The new rules expand the 1972 Title IX law which forbids discrimination in education based on sex, to include protections from discrimination and sexual assault based on sexual orientation or gender identity. It is the first major action taken by a U.S. administration to protect trans students from discrimination.
The Republican lawsuits claim the Biden rules protecting LGBTQ students from sexual assault would establish campus “kangaroo courts” to unfairly prosecute individuals who have been accused of assaulting LGBTQ and trans students.”
(CEO)— Accused felon and current Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton took time out of his busy schedule attending Trump’s Election Interference Trial in New York. To file a lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s recent revisions to the Federal Title IX rules. Which further protects LGTBQ+ individuals against discrimination, assault, and harassment. A decision Republican lawmakers like Paxton feel would infringe upon their right to engage in bigotry, homophobia, and transphobia.
If you haven’t already noticed a pattern, with the Republican Party’s agenda, let’s dissect what they’re focused on. All the major GOP legislation lately is centered around stripping away liberties from citizens solely for religious purposes. At the very top of that list, is Women’s reproductive freedoms. Republicans have used positions of political power to control how female constituents manage their health care. Yes, the same party vehemently opposed to vaccine mandates, intended to protect the overall well-being of the population. Because they claim “My body, my choice” only when it suits their argument. Fail to see the hypocrisy, in stripping women’s rights, to determine their own healthcare options with a doctor. No, the GOP would rather Judges, Pastors, and Politicians have the power in red states to decide on a woman’s behalf.
Next on the Republican chopping block is the rights of the LGTBQ+ community. Since the Federal Government has been able to codify some of the protections for LGTBQ+ adults. These religious groups and Republican lawmakers have targeted minors who belong to this community. Whether it’s draconian bathroom bans, transgender health care restrictions, and youth sports limitations. They find any conceivable way to make the lives of these kids a living nightmare. Merely because Republicans believe religious intolerance supersedes the liberties of those being discriminated against.
Yet, A much lesser-known privilege is being infringed upon for Americans living in GOP country. The freedom to self-pleasure one’s self to internet porn. Access to pornography has been severely restricted in a growing number of Republican States. Of course, if given truth serum this would be the one ban that even keeps Republicans up at night. But it serves them right if a woman isn’t allowed to choose whatever’s best for her body. Or if LGTBQ+ students can’t feel safe and accepted in their own schools. Maybe having Republicans’ ability to splooge freely to their favorite porn suddenly hijacked. Is just the type of self-inflicted abuse of power lesson, the GOP had coming.
It’s a slippery slope, once you start taking rights away. The chances you are the next one to suffer the consequences, only increase. You see, sooner or later, if the Right-Wing eradicates allowing people to live life on their own terms due to religious ideology. The Republican Party’s reputation of being, America’s version of the Taliban, will only intensify. It’s becoming tougher to distinguish the differences between the two groups. The good old days of the “Live free, or die!” slogan are long gone. Replaced by the new Republican catchphrase “Live like me, or die!”
