(The Guardian)–“Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota whose chance of being Donald Trump’s presidential running mate was widely deemed over after she published a description of shooting dead a dog and a goat, claimed reports of the story were “fake news” but also that the dog in question, Cricket, a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer, was “extremely dangerous” and deserved her fate.
The Guardian first reported Noem’s story of killing Cricket the dog and an unnamed, un-castrated male goat. The story is contained in Noem’s book, No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong With Politics and How We Move America Forward, which will be published next week. The Guardian obtained a copy.
In the book, Noem says her description of killing a dog and a goat illustrates her willingness to do anything “difficult, messy and ugly” in politics as well as on her South Dakota farm – a defence she repeated before her Fox News interview.”

(CEO)—I’m sure by now everyone is well aware of the ongoing controversy surrounding Republican Governor Kristi Noem and the revelations she made in her new book. Most notably the ruthless murder of her young dog “Cricket” for not living up to her expectations as a hunter. The publicized story created widespread outrage against Trump’s potential Vice Presidential candidate. Although Trump himself, a known dog hater, found no issue with the gruesome details and gave a rave review of Noem’s book.

Noem also admitted to slaying a goat shortly after shooting her dog “Cricket” in the head. She’s shown no signs of humanity whatsoever even when reliving her murder spree. That also involved the slaughtering of three horses during a separate incident. The only characteristic Noem has displayed more than her lust for blood is her inability to read the room. When Noem was given a chance to explain her side of the story, on the Republican Party’s propaganda network Fox News. She utilized her unchallenged appearance to criticize the public outcry against her. Claiming she, not her former pets, was the one truly being victimized during this whole ordeal, by what Noem felt was unjust press coverage.

Such a delusional response from Noem quite possibly could’ve secured her Trump’s VP selection. With textbook MAGA deflection tactics, at a level only previously achieved by Trump himself. Most political pundits out there, have declared Noem’s execution of defenseless animals. Surely ended any chance for her VP appointment. However, understanding Donald Trump as well as I do. He’s going to be impressed with Noem’s Fox News performance. Noem’s unwillingness to apologize while simultaneously accusing the “fake news media” of spreading falsehoods. When it’s Noem’s own book that she authored where the information is being quoted from.

That sounds just like the type of daydream material transpiring in Trump’s head as he sleep-farts his way through his criminal trial. The only slight downside to Noem’s approach is Trump, does hate sharing the spotlight. So if Noem wants to land Trump’s running mate gig she can’t make a habit out of garnering this amount of publicity. Trump may be the G.O.A.T. when it comes to playing the undeserved victim card. So maybe he better watch his back because Noem not only shows real promise in that department. But we also know how she’s dealt with goats that onetime got in her way. Makes you wonder, if there’s an empty spot set aside in her backyard, next to the remains of Cricket, the goat, and three horses for a rare orange-colored male chauvinist pig.
