(Meidas Touch Network)–“During a Wednesday morning interview with Hugh Hewitt…Trump is planning on going after college and university endowments, calling them a tax scam. Trump also suggested cutting aid to schools. This isn’t the first time Trump has suggested punishing universities by going after their endowments.
As part of his “Agenda 47” proposal, Trump stated he wants to seize university endowments if he believes they are communist, which pretty much at this point just means anything that MAGA Republicans don’t like.
Post-secondary education systems, students, staff, and alumni should take note. The Republican presumptive nominee wants to defund your schools.”
Trump: “Maybe you should do it anyway. You wanna know the truth because what they’re teaching and the way they’re teaching is ridiculous, but I’d probably recommend doing something. I think we should do something with endowments anyway. It’s ridiculous, and then we subsidize schools on top of the endowments.
The whole thing is ridiculous when you look and see some of these things with 25 billion dollars and then they are coming to us for aid. Ok, the whole thing is ridiculous, and I’m going to look at the whole situation. It’s one of the great, it’s actually a tax scam in a very sophisticated way, and I think that whole thing should be looked at anyway.”
(CEO)— So I guess we should now add Universities and Colleges to the growing list of categories Trump plans to defund. Going solely on Trump’s logic, I can see how this might make sense to him. Considering most higher education institutions do have the option of a “Liberal Arts” major seems entirely unfair to him. Trump can’t tolerate these schools having students paint portraits of Nancy Pelosi all day. Certainly not on his watch if he is elected again in November.
Trump sees this as further evidence of how the “deep state” operates. For way too long students have been brainwashed into settling on a Liberal studies degree. Yet Simultaneously zero Institutes in the country currently have “MAGA Arts” on their curriculum. A clear miscarriage of justice according to Trump. That shall no longer be tolerated or government-funded in any future Trump dictatorship.
I do find it comical however Trump labeled the endowments and public assistance as “tax scams”. Trump doesn’t generally come across as well-versed in the intricacies of higher education funding. But what he does have an expert level of knowledge in, are specific tax schemes. My educated guess would be the depths of his understanding, on this topic. Comes from his own failed endeavors at “Trump University” which was merely an elaborate tax fraud scam itself.
This has always been one of Trump’s noticeable “tells“ or indicators when he’s dishonest. He’ll baselessly accuse someone of lying, cheating, or stealing on a particular matter. However, the likelihood that he is simply projecting or deflecting from his own past corrupted conduct is increased. You’d assume by now Trump would be much better at concealing his deceitfulness. Considering the notion that after 10,000 hours of anything you rise to an expert level in that skill set.
At this point, you’d predict Trump would be the top-skilled liar in history but somehow he isn’t. Prolific, yes, he’s certainly earned that title. But Trump is still distinctly detectable for someone of his stature in deception. Maybe if Trump does get another shot at the Presidency. Making the “MAGA Arts” a staple of Universities and Colleges throughout America would be beneficial to him. Then he could easily polish up on his abilities by enrolling in “Lying 101” as an online course. I’m sure Professor George Santos will teach Trump everything he needs to learn. Sadly the more I joke around about these types of measures. I begin to worry that I’m giving the MAGA masses some insight I might someday regret.
