(CNN)–“Anthony Fauci detailed the threats he received during his time as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, describing death threats against him and threats against his wife and daughters.
Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell asked Fauci to explain what some of the threats were, where he replied: “Everything from harassments from emails, texts, letters of myself, my wife, my three daughters. There have been credible death threats leading to the arrest of two individuals – and credible death threats means someone who clearly was on their way to kill me. And it’s required my having protective services essentially all the time,” Fauci said.
Fauci said he feared that the threats against public health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic would serve as a “powerful disincentive” for the best and brightest candidates to take up the profession. “They say to themselves, ‘I don’t want to go there. Why should I get involved in that?’” he said. “They’re reluctant to put themselves and their family through what they see their colleagues being put through,” he testified.”

Dr. Fauci joins a growing list of remarkable American figures vilified by the modern-day MAGA movement. While they simultaneously admire corrupt political leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Hungary’s Victor Orban, and convicted felon Donald Trump. Dr. Fauci is a man who dedicated his life’s work to saving millions of lives as an American public servant since 1968. Known as one of the most cited scientists in the world across all scientific journals. Dr Fauci was an expert advisor to every American President since Ronald Regan. Awarded the prestigious “Presidential Medal of Freedom” in 2008 by then-President George W Bush. The highest honor, given to civilians, for his groundbreaking contributions to HIV/AIDS research.
This is the caliber of man MAGA Republicans want to imprison and have made countless death threats against him and his family. Dr Fauci does however find himself in some pretty good company. Of those the MAGA brand labels as adversaries to their cause. Including George Soros and Bill Gates just to name a couple. MAGATS would have you believe Soros is some sort of demonic monster. When the truth is Forbes labeled Soros the “most generous giver” alive. Soros a Jewish American of Hungarian descent survived Nazi occupation and still faces antisemitic persecution to this day. The billionaire hedge fund manager and philanthropist has founded and donated billions of dollars to many worthy causes across the globe. His charities have combated worldwide poverty and racism along with influencing the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. This is the pro-democracy type of person Right Wing Extremists sent a bomb to his home in a failed assassination attempt back in 2018.
Bill Gates also receives similar threats of violence and ridiculous claims of being an evil entity from conspiracy-loving MAGA cultists. Gates the cofounder of Microsoft was at times a ruthless businessman himself but his charitable efforts may someday save the Earth from its ongoing climate crisis. Along with his ex-wife Malinda and Warren Buffet, they started “The Giving Pledge”. A collection of billionaires agreeing to donate at least half of their fortune to philanthropic purposes. Gates’s work on clean energy solutions is vital and he’s one of the driving forces behind the “Paris Climate Accord” and the “Inflation Reduction Act”. Gates has spoken out against cryptocurrencies for their harmful impacts on the environment. He even once stood up for Trump during his ban from Facebook. Claiming the move would only further polarize the nation and a lifetime ban would do little good.
All three of these men have contributed more to the overall health and well-being of this world than every single MAGA supporter combined. Yet it’s not only these three historically generous people who face constant backlash from MAGATS. Even staunch Republicans have become antagonists in their delusional minds. Take Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and the late War-Hero John McCain. They have all been treated as evildoers for simply standing up for the greater good of America. The only “offenses” they are accused of by MAGA. Is refusing to kowtow to a treasonous-sexual-predatory-dictator-wannabe in Donald Trump. A man who never once accomplished anything for the world’s greater good. If it doesn’t add value to his wealth or level of power. Then it’s considered useless to Trump and his brainwashed base. Worshipping Dictators and condemning the Philanthropic. Begs the question of when you honor the selfish and demonize the selfless. What does it say about your own morality and integrity if you idolize those who have none themselves? I guess it’s true what they say, misery does indeed love having company!!
