(Meidas Touch Network)–“Weidong Guan, the Chief Financial Officer of the Epoch Times, has been indicted by the Department of Justice on charges related to a sprawling international money laundering scheme. According to the indictment unsealed on Monday, Guan, also known as “Bill Guan,” and his associates allegedly laundered approximately $67 million in illegally obtained funds, which the indictment says was stolen from Americans’ unemployment benefits and via other schemes, between 2020 and 2024.
The indictment accuses Guan of using the Epoch Times’ financial infrastructure to launder funds through a complex series of transactions. The scheme reportedly involved the use of cryptocurrency to purchase tens of millions of dollars in crime proceeds at a discount. These transactions were conducted by the media company’s “Make Money Online” (MMO) team, which Guan managed from a foreign office.
The Epoch Times, known for its right-leaning editorial stance and its spreading of conspiracy theories related to COVID-19 and other political, health, and legal issues, has become a significant news source for many Republican politicians. It has notably gained traction among supporters of former President Donald Trump. The media outlet has been linked to Steve Bannon, a former adviser to Trump, who has appeared on its platforms and collaborated on content. Republican Senator Ted Cruz has frequently shared articles in the Epoch Times to push his agenda. This association has bolstered its prominence within right-wing circles.”

If these MAGA Republicans weren’t so exceptionally corrupt and dangerously fascist their complete and utter incompetence might just be laughable. This particular story is a perfect example of the hypocrisy coursing throughout the veins of the loudest MAGA mouthpieces. Exposing everything they pretend to be against but somehow find themselves intricately involved in on the regular.
They surely can’t claim to be the party of “law and order” anymore. That ship sailed long ago when Trump first became the de facto leader of the party. They constantly point to fabricated propaganda outlets like “The Epoch Times”. As a go-to trusted source for all things MAGA. When in reality they are simply accomplices in spreading Chinese disinformation and conspiracy theories. Never mind that Republicans are promoting this nonsense like it’s gospel. They falsely accused Democrats of doing China’s bidding while simultaneously throwing rocks from their glass mansion’s balcony.
All the while their “credible source” is being funded by the same United States Unemployment fraud scheme. The GOP blamed the Democrats and lower classes for scamming the system. American taxpayers’ hard-earned money was intended to help those hardest hit by Trump’s failed response to Covid. Being stolen and laundered through the publicity of Donald Trump. Apparently, his Administration was so occupied with being corrupt themselves. They couldn’t find sufficient time to investigate and prosecute this scam in the first place.
You’d assume by now Republicans would question why America’s worst adversaries are so eager to create pro-Trump propaganda. China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are all invested in spreading lies across social media platforms. In a coordinated attack to manipulate voters into supporting Republican causes. It certainly isn’t because the GOP has America’s best interests in mind. Quite the opposite, in fact, they realize the absolute cluster f*ck our democratic system of government will be in. If Trump is allowed to rise into power once again. When China and Russia are MAGA’s staunchest allies it should be a warning sign that your agenda is already flawed. Trump’s branding his fascist ideology as “America first” is so delusionally off base. I’m honestly starting to consider the true meaning behind MAGA is to “Make America Go Away”!!
