(CNN) — “The number of people entering the US illegally has fallen sharply, with encounters at ports of entry falling by 25% since the White House announced controversial asylum restrictions earlier this month, according to new monthly statisticsreleased Thursday by US Customs and Border Protection.
The announcement is a welcome development for President Joe Biden, whose executive action on June 4 that shut off access to asylum for migrants who cross the US-Mexico border illegally sought to address an ongoing crisis that has become a significant political challenge.
According to CBP, encounters between ports of entry along the southwest border dropped to 117,900 recorded encounters in May, a 9% decrease from April.”

Was their persistent attacks on the southern border crisis and the fallout from the immigration process failures. But Biden has since taken a political shortcoming of the Democratic Party. Implementing a patchwork of executive orders which by all indications portray real signs of progress. Considering Democrats were forced to improve conditions all on their own. After a last-minute bipartisan effort to fix the immigration system was blocked by Republicans. To deny Americans the chance to secure the border at the behest of Donald Trump’s campaign.
As with most of Biden’s policy initiatives, his border actions have shown promising indications of statistical headway. Perfect timing for Biden to defend his motives in the upcoming televised Presidential Debates. Trump’s self-proclaimed immigration strength is quickly becoming another weakness for the convicted felon’s campaign. When you couple Trump’s selfish demands to his MAGA Congressional Colleagues. That they intentionally obstruct legislation that would resolve the immigration issue once and for all. With the current statistical evidence proving Biden’s modifications are working. You can easily make the argument that Biden’s done everything in his power to enhance border security. While Trump and the GOP have intentionally made the situation even worse.
Trump was already facing an uphill battle heading into next week’s debate. With a terrible Presidential track record, he’ll have no choice but to defend. While also delivering no popular policy ideas as an example of things to come. Biden on the other hand has a lengthy list of historical accomplishments that he can take credit for. Most of which had no legislative assistance from any Republicans. Yet back home in their districts, the GOP is undeservedly wanting praise for the billions worth of Democratic-implemented investments.
The country may witness a public beatdown on live television. Which I for one, cannot wait to watch take place. You are even starting to hear Trump complimenting Biden on his prior debate performances. If that doesn’t demonstrate Trump’s fears of losing to Biden then nothing will. Don’t be surprised if Trump’s camp pulls out every excuse to back out of this rematch. If the American audience is expecting a coherent Trump to show up they are certainly in for a rude awakening. Because Trump not Biden is the one suffering from an abrupt mental decline. While no one ever wishes, to witness a senile old man get verbally abused, live on TV. I suspect this will be the one instance where it is widely celebrated nationwide. So give him hell President Biden, because nothing Donald Trump can honestly say or do can strip you and the American public of your numerous successful achievements.
