(CEO)—Let me start off by addressing the elephant in the room. Yes, President Biden figuratively 💩 the bed during Thursday’s Presidential Debate against Donald Trump. Nevertheless this outpouring of demands from media pundits and columnists alike for the President to step down from the Democratic ticket. Have exposed the press for their hypocritical over-criticizing of the Democrats. These so-called journalists consistently allow the Republican Party to take an enormous steamy dump on the Constitution and Democracy with minimal pushback. If any political party should face intense backlash for their Presidential nomination it should be the GOP.

The media’s claim that President Biden’s candidacy is now a threat to American Democracy would be comical if it wasn’t so off base. Their rationale is that Biden could potentially lose to Trump in November’s Election. Meaning Trump is the genuine threat to Democracy, not Biden. But instead of clamoring for Republicans to remove Trump from the GOP Presidential Ticket. They’ve ignored the truly problematic candidate in this neck-and-neck race. That is the most convoluted ass-backward logic coming from the mainstream press, I’ve ever heard. It feels as though The NY Times and other news sources have this f*cked-up victim-shaming mentality towards the Democrats. The lone political party in this election dedicated to protecting our nation’s Democracy.

Never mind that Trump is already a convicted felon and a rapist. The thin-skinned dictator wannabe also attempted the first organized coup in US history. Followed by stealing our nation’s most valuable military secrets. Intending to pawn them off on the highest-bidding American adversary. But God forbid the media questions, his fitness for office, of the Presidency. When the criminal defendant is merely 3 years younger than President Biden. Less we forget the current edition of the Republican Party is systematically stripping away the rights of women, minorities, and the LGBTQ+ community. Still, somehow Democrats are the party receiving nearly all of the negative media attention.

What most political pundits fail to realize is that all of the donations Biden has accumulated can only be transferred to Vice President Kamala Harris. So this irrational notion the Democrats can just easily switch out candidates has no basis in reality. For argument’s sake in the worst-case scenario, if President Biden passed away during his Presidency. It’s not like Kamala Harris is some incompetent VP candidate like Republican Sarah Palin was under John McCain. The campaign should in fact start showcasing Harris’s abilities more frequently. Promoting her so the American public can feel confident if Biden isn’t able to serve out his full term. The country knowing it would be in incredibly competent hands under Harris’s leadership is reassuring.

Maybe if the press did a better job of reporting the catastrophic consequences a second Trump term would cause the United States. This election might not be as close as it appears to be in opinion polling. Instead of the media demanding the sitting President retire from his job. They should probably focus more on their own questionable job performance. There is a limitless abundance of evidence regarding the ongoing corruption in the Republican Party and its candidate. That I personally cover myself every single day. With most of those stories garnering little to no attention from mainstream news outlets.

Of course, no one is perfect in this Presidential Race. But the vast contrast between President Biden’s limited flaws and Donald Trump’s long list of defects is unmistakable. So how has age become the focal point in this election cycle is absurd. When it’s the one and only issue Biden and Trump both share in common. Still, somehow the coverage on this topic is so drastically lob-sided in Trump’s favor. It makes you question, on this particular matter, why the press’s false equivalency is nowhere to be found. The willingness by pundits to throw 250 years of Democracy down the drain. Over a 3-year age difference is further proof of an industry showing signs of a severe decline in competency. Sounds like a good time for them to step aside and let others more capable of doing the job take over.
