Republicans Are Calling For The Execution Of The Chairman Of The Joint Chiefs

Army General Mark Milley the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Donald Trump and President Biden. Has been the subject of unfounded vicious attacks from Republicans who have called for the execution of the retiring General.

Donald Trump and Republican Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona have both made similar statements regarding their desire to execute Gen. Milley in recent days. The threats are in response to Milley’s actions on and around January 6th. As President Trump was busy inciting an insurrection. He Simultaneously refused to call on federal resources to help protect the Capital and the members of Congress who were under siege from his supporters. Trump’s inaction that day forced other high-ranking government officials to respond to the unfolding crisis.

A collection of Vice President Mike Pence, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Mitch McConnell, and Chairman General Milley were tasked with making the pertinent decisions that Trump refused to make. One key duty was to ensure foreign governments that President Trump’s dereliction of office would not escalate into a war with our adversaries.

General Milley reached out to his counterpart in China. “My task at that time was to de-escalate,” Milley told the Senate Armed Services Committee. “My message again was consistent: Stay calm, steady, and de-escalate. We are not going to attack you.”

It’s because of Milley’s decisive actions that day, that no foreign regimes used the chaos of January 6th to take military action against us. For such an intelligent response, Republicans have taken the facts surrounding that infamous day and twisted them to cover up their crimes against our democracy.

Republican Rep. Paul Gosar said of Milley in his newsletter. “Milley, the homosexual-promoting-BLM-activist Chairman of the military joint chiefs, delayed. Of course, we now know that the deviant Milley was coordinating with Nancy Pelosi to hurt President Trump, and treasonously working behind Trump’s back. In a better society, quislings like the strange sodomy-promoting General Milley would be hung. He had one boss: President Trump, and instead he was secretly meeting with Pelosi and coordinating with her to hurt Trump. That is, when he wasn’t also secretly coordinating and sharing intelligence with the Chinese military. How this traitor remains in office is a question we need answered.”

Startling words from an elected official about one of the country’s top Military Minds. It appears as though Gosar is getting his talking points from Trump, who days before also made similar remarks about Milley.

“That an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH.” Trump said on his website “Truth Social.” A site name that is the antithesis of its content. This is far from Trump’s first time dabbling in contempt for the Military. When asked to visit an American Military Cemetery outside of Paris Trump referred to the U.S. Marines buried there as “losers” and “suckers. Adding ”Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers,”

This is coming from a Republican Party that claims to support the Military when it comes time for election season. However, their own words and actions tell a much different tale. With Republican football coach and Senator Tommy Tuberville holding Military promotions hostage for political reasons. While Speaker Kevin McCarthy refuses to further aid the Ukrainian military in their fight for democracy against Russia.

Trump has business interests with Russia and owes Vladimir Putin for his interference in our 2016 Presidential Election that resulted in Trump’s victory. Which created the Party’s disdain toward our ally in democracy, Ukraine. It’s hard for conservatives to accept that this is the current state of the Republican Party. Yet the evidence is overwhelming, of the GOP’s continued attack on our American institutions. The more they undermine U.S. leaders such as General Mark Milley and the democratic establishments that stand in their way. The easier it will be to convince their right-wing base that democracy is just another roadblock, set up to keep Republicans from succeeding. Once an unthinkable outcome seems inevitable if the GOP continues to follow Donald Trump down this slippery slope.
