(CNN) — Donald Trump is certain to win Nevada’s Republican presidential delegates. It’s the result of a dueling 2024 system in which the Silver State will hold two GOP contests within three days: the state government-run primary on February 6, where Trump isn’t on the ballot and no delegates are at stake, and the Nevada Republican Party-run caucuses on February 8, where the former president faces no serious opposition to win the state’s 26 delegates.
What’s confounding some voters who are casting early primary ballots is that the choices in the two elections are entirely different. Trump is only participating in the caucuses and thus isn’t on primary ballots. Meanwhile, his lone remaining major 2024 GOP rival, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, is on the primary ballot and isn’t participating in the caucuses.
“I believe that they set up the caucus because they wanted to assure that Donald Trump was not embarrassed in Nevada and secured Nevada’s vote,” said former Clark County Republican Party Chairman Chuck Muth. He added: “This definitely smells of rigging the caucus on behalf of Donald Trump.”
Adding to the criticism of Nevada’s parallel contests is the indictments of state Republican Party leaders, including McDonald and Clark County chairman Jesse Law, for attempting to falsely certify that Trump won Nevada in 2020 — when he lost the state to Biden. McDonald and Law are among the six so-called “fake electors,” who have pleaded not guilty to felony charges brought against them by Nevada’s attorney general in December.
“How do you trust it? To me, it comes across as complete pro Trump scam. That’s it plain and simple,” said Amy Tarkanian, a former state GOP chairwoman. Tarkanian, who broke from the Trump wing of the GOP, called the caucuses another sign of Trump’s hold of the party. “It’s sad and it’s disappointing. I think really they’ve disenfranchised the Republican voter,” she said.

Besides Democrats Of Course!!
It’s not often you hear stories about the Republican electorate being disenfranchised. Yet it appears in Nevada that is exactly what is taking place. Of course, it’s still the GOP who are behind this effort to make Trump the only candidate allowed to receive delegates from the state. A Republican on Republican scheme created for the sole purpose of removing any potential competition with Donald Trump.
It should come as no surprise that the crew of right-wing organizers of the new caucus-based winner-takes-all Republican delegates system. Is the exact same group of Republicans that led the fake Trump electors’ criminal conspiracy. So they are well-versed in disenfranchising voters. Except now they have focused their efforts on keeping all non-Trump Republican supporters from getting a chance to appoint their state’s delegates to Nikki Haley.

We are witnessing in real-time how much of a slippery slope that stripping a portion of the voting population’s rights to elect certain candidates can be. In 2020 when Republicans across the country tried to force their will and have legally casted votes for President Biden thrown out. All because of fabricated accusations of voter fraud. Republicans sat back and demanded that because they lost, it must have been rigged. Well, now those same folks who allowed their party officials to manipulate them into complicity. Find themselves on the receiving end of the political shenanigans they once co-signed.
A lesson learned the hard way for the German population when the Natzis reigned during the holocaust. It’s the very same playbook that Trump’s MAGA cohorts are implementing around the U.S.. For Republicans, if you don’t think that you too, can easily become a political victim of the fascist ideology sweeping through your Party. Just look no further than Nevada, where it has already begun to happen for those looking for an upgrade to Trump. What German pastor Martin Niemöller famously said about the Natzis can easily be translated for the current MAGA movement.
First they came for the immigrants and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a immigrant.
Then they came for the Democrats , and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Democrat.
Then they came for the R.I.N.O.’s and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a R.I.N.O.
Then they came for me a non-Trump Conservative —and there was no one left to speak for me.
