(Meidas Touch Network)–“When Joe Biden became the first president to join a picket line this past September for the UAW, the Trump campaign scrambled to do something to counter the move. Michigan is a critical state for both campaigns, and when auto workers went on strike last fall, Biden made it clear that he was on the side of the workers, and for that he was recently rewarded with the UAW endorsement.
What did Trump do? He did what he always does – used money and stagecraft to create the illusion of substance while doing absolutely nothing to help anyone. We saw this same production with the train derailment in East Palestine, OH, where Trump flew in for a photo op, passed out expired waters from one of his resorts, and had a few pallets of Goya beans from his friend flown in. Now we learn from recent FEC filings from his PAC that he did the same thing during the autoworkers strike.
The Trump campaign paid Drake Enterprises, a non-union auto parts shop in Clinton Township, $20,000 to stage a fake event with people holding up “Union Members for Trump” signs behind him to make it look like he was holding a rally with union auto workers on strike. During the rally, he rambled nonsense that if he wasn’t elected the entire American auto industry was going to move to China.
Reporters interviewing attendees at the rally learned that virtually none of the people holding signs belonged to any union – they were just told to hold them behind Trump while he spoke. Some participants interviewed said that they did not see any striking workers in attendance. Now, we learn that the entire thing was a paid, fake production from the Trump campaign, just like everything else they do.”

I’ve never been one who liked saying “I told you so!” To be absolutely transparent I would consider it more of a passion, than a like. Although I’m partially joking and I don’t often use the phrase itself. I can’t think of many things that please me more in life than being on the right side of an argument. If you don’t believe me, just ask my ex-wife. It’s one of the few things that we actually agreed upon. I do however have a phrase that better describes my feelings on the subject of one’s intra-marital disputes while we’re on the topic. “You can either be right, or you can be happy, but you can’t be both.” No surprise here, I chose the former.
But I digress, no one deserves to suffer through reading about my personal baggage. It’s Trump’s woes that bring a smile to our faces. So this information has come to light about Trump paying $20k to stage a fake union rally. To counteract President Biden’s invitation from the UAW union workers to join them on the picket line. Gives me great joy to confirm my suspicions about the veracity of the suspected faux rally. Something that I sniffed out at the time and wrote multiple articles comparing Biden’s organic visit and Trump’s union cosplay.
Back in September, when the event took place, my research suggested that none of the attendees were union members. Even though they were staged with signage claiming “Union Workers For Trump”. Yet each person who was there and spoke with reporters said they were told by a pro-Trump group to show up in solidarity for the Con Man and Chief. None of which worked in the auto industry. If my memories serve me right, it was a bunch of realtors and retirees who were already staunch MAGATS. Nothing about the event was true, to how it was presented. Just a room filled with Trump sycophants holding meaningless signs, looking to cash in on the free Pizza.

Another fun fact about this political charade is that Trump scheduled it as counter-programming to the second Republican Presidential Debate that he was too scared to attend. The reality that Trump paid big bucks to ensure he was met with a politically favorable reception exposes just how fragile his ego is. Why prove to the Republican electorate that he deserves their endorsement through political debate? When he can just use his donor’s hard-earned money to create a staged love fest disguised as a pro-union rally.
Speaking to the crowd as if they just left the picket lines to see their conquering hero speak. Although it’s commonplace for Trump to pull stunts like this. You wonder if his donors feel betrayed when they learn their donations are either being used to fund his legal defense or to scam union workers into pledging their allegiance to Trump. At the very least, I can promise you, that none of his supporters were happy that the pizza they were being served was from Domino’s. If that isn’t a clear sign to MAGATS that Trump doesn’t give a fu@k about their well-being. Then nothing will break these delusional fools from his political grasp.
